​Forming Healthy Relationships in College
Michele Fleming, Ph.D.

On December 8, 2016, Dr. Michele Fleming, a clinical psychologist, speaker, writer, and radio host, spoke on the topic of forming and sustaining healthy relationships in a college hook-up culture. The event was attended by more than 20 students and alumni who engaged with Dr. Fleming in a long and informative Q&A session after the talk.

​The Meaning of Marriage
R.R. Reno, Ph.D.

On September 24, 2015, we welcomed Dr. R.R. Reno, editor-in-chief of First Things, for an engaging talk on the meaning of marriage, examining the history of marriage in Western thought and how to discuss marriage in the wake of Obergefell v. Hodges. Approximately 40 students, faculty, alumni, and community members were in attendance.

Humanum Film Screening

More than a dozen students joined us for a screening of several films from the International Inter-religious Colloquium on the Complementarity of Man and Woman at the Vatican on November 17th-19th, 2014.

Marriage in the Media
Timothy Reckart

On May 29, 2013, we hosted Timothy Reckart and screened his Academy Award-nominated short film, Head Over Heels. He touched upon the ways in which film is an effective medium through which the profound message of marriage can be presented.

Love, Sex, and Genes
William Hurlbut, M.D.

On February 13, 2013, Dr. William Hurlbut presented to us the anthropological and biological aspects of human sexuality.  A lecture given to biology students in years past, the talk nevertheless sparked discussion well into the evening among students and local community members with various professional backgrounds!

Pro-Life, Pro-Family Reception
Sherif Girgis

On May 17, 2012, we hosted our first Pro-Life, Pro-Family Reception, featuring a guest lecture with Sherif Girgis, co-author of What is Marriage? Man and Woman: A Defense.  Following the lecture, approximately 40-50 students and local community supporters were given ample opportunity to network with each other.

Dating & Courtship: A Multi-Faith Panel
Fr. Greg Haake, C.S.C., Peter Carlston, Pallav Agrawal


On November 30, 2011, we hosted a panel of representatives from the Catholic, Latter-Day Saint, and Hindu faith traditions, who each spoke of dating and courtship practices within their respective religions.  Fr. Greg Haake presented the Catholic perspective, Peter Carlston the LDS perspective, and Pallav Agrawal the Hindu perspective.

Marriage Without Adjectives: The Same-Sex Controversy
Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D.

Our inaugural event, Dr. Morse's April 19, 2011 lecture, drew 60-70 individuals of various opinions on this issue. She presented the various social and economic arguments for marriage between one man and one woman for life.  The Q&A lasted well into the evening.
